Growing Healthy Churches
Revitalise is one of the ways we are resourcing and equipping local churches, the Body of Christ, to do just that.
Each year a number of benefices will be invited by the Bishop or Archdeacon to join a group to be known as Revitalise.
These benefices have been identified as those which are most in need of support in fulfilling their desire and potential to grow. Revitalise will offer targeted help in the shape of:
- accompaniment by a Growing Healthy Churches team member
- the encouragement and support of a peer group of benefices on the same journey
- the Revitalise Learning Community access to additional resources for mission- courses, residentials and other support as needed
If your benefice has been invited to join Revitalise
The starting point for all growth is that it comes from God: God gives growth. We are invited to join in God’s mission, for example, by following God’s commandment to love and God’s commission to make disciples. It is a serious commitment.
You will be asked to make a covenant with your Bishop and Archdeacon. By this you agree that:
- you will commit to engaging with Living Christ’s Story and with Revitalise
- you have a real desire to grow, missionally and financially
- you are prepared to make the changes necessary to see your church grow
- you will commit to belonging to the Revitalise Learning Community for two years
